Dr Clement Uwem is a Senior lecturer at Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension in University of Uyo.
He holds a Ph.D in Agricultural Extension and Communication from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State.
He is an experienced educationist that conduct lectures and seminars on agricultural economics and extension topics, supervises graduate students in research projects related to agricultural economics, assisted in course development and curriculum enhancement and engages in research projects focusing on the economic aspects of agriculture.
His research interest has been Agricultural policy and its impact on rural communities, Sustainable agricultural development and resource management, Adoption of modern technologies in farming practices and Rural extension strategies for effective knowledge dissemination. This has resulted in highly insightly publications in Journal Articles, Book Chapters, Conference Papers and Advisory Services.
Exceptional performance in assigned task has fetched him numerous awards such as Certificate of Excellence from National Association of Agricultural Student, Service Excellence, Continuing Education Student’s Association (UNIUYO) etc.
He holds Professional membership in Nigerian Rural Sociological Association, Nigerian Society for Indigenous Knowledge and Development, European Centre for Research Training and Development (UK) etc.
Dr. Clement is a dedicated educator and researcher in the field of agricultural economics and extension, contributing valuable insights to the academic community and fostering positive connections with the agricultural industry. This knowledebase will have so much to tell you as you peruse.
